A Midsummer Night's Dream is a magical night's adventure; a love story where young people elope, fall in and out of love; a comic story of tradesmen struggling to rehearse and perform a very bad play and a fairy story, in which the King of the fairies quarrels with his queen, punishes her, and then forgives her. Love and marriage link the three stories through magic and illusion over the hours of Midsummer's Night.

We all know the story of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but this new musical version is a fantasy for today - mysterious, opulent and fanciful - a dream conjured up with Dorothy's adventures in the Land of Oz set to music in a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, gospel and soul. It begins on a tumbledown farm in Kansas, but a tornado hits and sets Dorothy down in the land of Oz. The words are jive, the songs upbeat. After celebrating the demise of the Wick- ed Witch of the East with the Munchkins, Dorothy departs for the Emerald City with a live yellow brick road. She encounters a hip Scarecrow, an uptight Tin Man and a mama's-boy Lion who has lost faith in the psychiatric help he's been getting from his owl. Together they will seek help from the Great all powerful Wiz. Along the way they encounter a whole host of colourful characters from the loveable Munchkins and Good Witch Addapearle to the Wicked Witch Evilene and her deadly Winged Monkeys.
