NOVEMBER 2011 CHAMBERLINK 27 Don’t miss Chamber dinner
Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group’s annual dinner and awards for 2012 will be held on 26 April in Hall 3 of the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. There will be a drinks reception at 6pm followed by the dinner at 7pm. One of the highlights of the night will be the presentation of a number of business awards. Henrik Court, director of events, said the annual dinner is one of the highlights of the business calendar. He said: “The event attracts a number of key decision makers and provides an opportunity to network.”
Event partner welcomed
An Edgbaston company has become the latest to join the Chamber’s thriving events partner scheme. The newcomer is B.I.G Business Services, which is an employment law and health and safety consultant. Under the scheme, the event partners pay a set fee of £795, after which
they will enjoy a series of profile raising activities at Chamber events. This will include being able to erect display stands and distribute
marketing materials at events, and also be featured on the Chamber’s website and in ‘Chamberlink’. Henrik Court, director of events at the Chamber, said the events partner scheme was not only a good way of profile raising, but was also extremely cost effective. “It’s good value because it adds up to more than the sum parts would and it is a strategic way for these organisations to work with the Chamber and do it in on a planned basis.” B.I.G’s Lyndon Davies said: “We are a young and vibrant company and hope that through the event partnership scheme we can raise our profile further.”
