Time management for kids with Circa Circa is an ingenious educational toy calendar from new company, eleventyone Ltd.

The unique product launches in October and provides parents and educators an innovative way of teaching children about time awareness using the toy›s rotating and circular stacking design. The toy is divided into four pieces that represent a major cyclical event in the calendar. Children can explore each of the different pieces of the calendar individually and fi t them together as their knowledge increases. Assembled Circa makes a children’s desk calendar with its bold and bright colours. Director at eleventyone and inventor of the award winning product, Melinda Holohan said: “The idea and design for Circa came to me overnight, as I struggled to explain to my son when he could go swimming again. Using a linear calendar, the week just comes to an end, and yet I had to explain to him it actually starts again but on the next line! So I thought, why not present the calendar in a circular form such that its cyclical nature is understood more intuitively? “Time awareness is one of the hardest concepts for children to learn, so I wanted it to be fun and tactile. Children love movable pieces, stacking objects and sticking things, so it was a bonus that these were all things that were integral to Circa’s design.”
