Provide for infrastructure, its renewal and maintenance.
OVERALL HIGHLIGHTS
• Planning for completion and commissioning of the Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal by 31 January 2012
• Held over 20 Asset Management (Roads and Halls) sessions across the municipality
• Commenced a Heritage Study and survey across the municipality
• Commencement of intersection works at Old Hamilton and Osborne Roads
• Assisted in public awareness campaign for digital television switch over and the disposal of analogue TV’s
• Continued modifi cation to Civic Centre premises to provide additional offi ce space and improved staff amenities
• Assessment of fl ood damage to buildings and part completion of recovery works
• Assessment reports on the condition of Council’s building assets
• Installed carports for onsite cabins at the Horsham Caravan Park
• Major upgrade on part of the Civic Centre’s air conditioning system
• Completed improvements to the Telangutuk East and Natimuk Public Hall’s improvement utilising Small Towns Funding
• Ongoing improvements to the condition of Council’s footpaths
• Traffi c improvements and initiatives
• Works completed at Hamilton and Urquhart Street reducing minor traffi c incidents to zero
• Commenced Horsham Aquatic Centre’s outdoor swimming pool refurbishment review and feasibility study
