Enhance the development of Horsham and surrounding areas as a diverse, inclusive and vibrant community.


OVERALL HIGHLIGHTS


• Commenced community planning for Jung and Drung/ St Helens Plains


• Implemented electronic rostering with mobile phones for the Home and Community Care program


• Launched Horsham’s Supported Playgroup at the Early Years Forum


• Supported establishment of Wimmera Oasis, Multicultural Social Group


• Completed NC² Project plan • Provided over 15,000 hours of home care visits • 20,708 Meals on Wheels delivered


• Implemented monthly movie and meals for socially isolated residents


• Immunisation coverage rate of 95% • Inspected 100% of food premises


• Secured funding for Wimmera Emergency Management Project


• Major sponsor of the Awakenings regional disability festival and the Art Is... Festival


• Council set up a Municipal Emergency Centre for the January ‘1 in 200 year’ fl ood event


• Wesley Performing Arts Centre presented 28 shows


• Community Development Framework and Community Engagement checklist to guide Council’s future community development


• Fire Memorial Project launched April 2011


• ART#2 a collaboration between ACCA and HRAG presented new work by 15 international artists through community engagement in Horsham and Natimuk


• Participated in 2nd Annual Horsham Plaza Health Week • Launched Health and Wellbeing Plan in November 2010 • Public art installation in Natimuk


• Second library in Victoria to introduce Bolinda’s eAudio books
