straight year dividends will be returned to all participating counties. Te 2011 dividend is de- clared based on 2007 premiums paid and losses incurred, and it matches the 2010 dividend at $1.25 million. Tis brings the total dividends paid over the last 15 years to $21,448,953. Te AAC Workers’ Compensation Trust

Group Manager Chris Villines recommended the $1,250,000 dividend to the Board of Trust- ees at their June meeting. Upon the unanimous vote checks were issued in mid-June. “Tere are several reasons that we are able to continue returning such large sums to the coun- ties,” Villines said. “Our staff is excellent and ef- ficient and the counties of Arkansas work hard to minimize risks at home. I cannot compli- ment our Risk Services Manager Debbie Nor- man enough – she has an incredible responsibil- ity and handles it capably. Te Workers’ Comp staff is equally adept. Debbie Lakey, Kim Nash, Freda Taylor, Becky Burnett, Barry Burkett and Mandy Cook do an excellent job. Tis dividend is something that has increased through the years, and we hope that continued hard work here in the office and in counties across the state will keep our premiums effectively low.” AAC Risk Manager Debbie Norman said,
“From inception to today this program has per- formed beyond expectations. It has always been our goal to reward counties with dividends, and this is the 15th
straight year that successful
management of the program and the commit- ment to safety in our counties has allowed it to occur.”
