Assessors meet in West Memphis


for fun, training Arkansas Assessors had a full slate of speak- ers and informational sessions while meeting in West Memphis June 8-10 for their association’s annual summer conference. Association Presi- dent Janet Ward Troutman, Pulaski County As- sessor, presided over the activities. After a greeting from the president, a wel-


come from county officials, and an introduc- tion of the association’s sustaining members kicked off Wednesday’s meeting. Te rest of the morning was taken up by an update on the Arkansas Assessment Coordination Division by Debbie Asbury, Director; and by Shelby John- son, Director of Arkansas Geographic Informa- tion Office, about AGIO services. Te afternoon was taken up with breakout CAMA sessions.


Tursday saw a general business session;


greetings and comments from John Turston, Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands; a leg- islative report from Johnny Rye and Harley Bradley; and a presentation by Stan Walker of the PSC; Pulaski County GIS CAMA: What Works and What Doesn’t, by James Meyer and Rick Johnston. Friday included a general session and an Assessor-ACD-vendor roundtable discussion before adjournment.
