Collectors learn, network at June
ACCA conference Collectors from around the state converged on the Holiday Inn City Center in Fort Smith June 13-15 for a continuing education confer- ence. In addition to “classroom” sessions of con- tinuing ed, they had a chance to enhance their professional network with colleagues and to explore the historic city on the Arkansas-Okla- homa border that was a bulwark in the nation’s westward territorial spread.
Continuing education sessions included elec- tion ethics, led by A.J. Kelly with the Arkan- sas Secretary of State’s office; social networking (Eva Madison); outsourcing; media relations (Randy Kemp); and probate filing. Tere was also an educational presentation led by Arkansas Sheriffs Association staff.
