June was a series of trips to the hospital preparing for Mark’s back op only to have it postponed due to an emergency. Although you cannot do anything about emergencies they could have chosen a different day to have their accident! Joking aside it now means the same again this month in preparation for the op at the beginning of August.
Thanks to everyone who sent their best wishes and we will keep them on hold until he goes in. I’m hoping I come out with a new man - of course that meaning I am hoping he will come out a new man..... I have to say yet again I was so impressed with the hospital and staff and cannot fault them, giving us both a lot of confidence once again in the health service in Spain.
We are probably the only people who do not have family out during summer but for all those who are expecting family remind them to sort out their health insurance before they leave the UK. For very little outlay it could save them and you a lot of problems.
By the time you read this the speed limit will once again be 120 on the autopistas and autovias. As the roads are so much busier at this time please leave early, take extra care when driving as many on the roads are visitors and already I have seen some ‘interesting’ manoeuvres.
