HELP (INTERNATIONAL) BENIDORM
Kiera is a little girl who lives here, with her family in La Cala and has cerebral palsy and is quadriplegic.
Over 1000 distribution points!
She and her family raised money to be able to travel to America last year so that Kiera could receive much needed therapy. This year Kiera can have this therapy here in Spain near Barcelona, and it gave HELP (international) Benidorm on behalf of our members a great deal of pleasure to give a donation to assist their fund raising. We had the pleasure of meeting Kiera, at our weekly meeting on 16th June. Kiera, her mum Debbie and myself are pictured above. Jan Elders HELP President Benidorm.
Summer Party
THE LIONS OF JALON AND ORBA recently donated 560€ to the Orba Youth Club to help them pay for some of the new equipment in their new premises on the top floor of the School of Music in the town centre. The photograph shows the President of the Lions Club, Stuart Aitchison, presenting a display cheque to Councillor Antonio Martinez Brown who had approached the Lions for help with the equipment for the new club. Some of the children who were enjoying themselves in the club at the time also posed for the photograph.
The Lions next fundraising event is their Summer Party at 8pm on Saturday 9th July at the Alcalali Bullring – Heredad de Elias Ferrer. Come and dance the night away to the music of Bruce the Nomad, followed by the OK Band with their rock party music.
