Your lifestyle magazine Fish and Chips and Follicles
Sometimes unusual combinations are the best and Company women members certainly benefited from a very different mix of skills workshops, speed dating and fish and chips in Quesada at their last meeting.
Quesada Fish and Chips played host to this debut ‘speed business dating’ event from the women’s networking group. Eight
women all talking at the same time was guaranteed to cause a bit of a noise but there was plenty of opportunity to make lots of new business contacts at formula 1 speed.
So where do the follicles come in? Whilst waiting to speed date there was opportunity to hear a very informative and interesting bulletin on hair health and care delivered by the Sophia Wellness Centre at Cabo Roig. We spend hours and hundreds on our hair but know very little about it. There were some fascinating facts, hints and discussions about how to make the most of our barnets.
If you’re more interested in wine than wet cuts this event could be for you. Company women have organised a wine tasting session on Thursday 23rd July at Magica Gormet. It’s an opportunity to sample five different wines and tapas for only 7 euros. You don’t need an excuse to join in, but if you’d prefer to have one this event is also an opportunity to improve your knowledge about Spanish wine.
On a more serious note, the next skills workshops will include information about business accountancy and making a will.
It’s part of the next ‘first Thursday in the month’ meeting at Rockys on 7th July. As always, the lunch is open to members and non-members of company women and is a good opportunity to network. The only real criteria is that you must be female and be in some form of business. If you fit the profile then why not join us? Perhaps not as frenetic as business dating but you can guarantee some networking will be taking place.
