What’s hot in massage …

AS its name suggests, hot stone therapy is a speciality massage that involves the use of smooth, heated stones. The stones manage to maintain their heat particularly well as they are a compound of black volcanic rock. These volcanic Basalt stones have been used for hundreds of years as a Native American treatment. When used during massage, the energy from the

massage whilst holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist will replace it with another. The therapist often leaves heated stones in specific

points of the spine, in the palms of your hand, on your belly, or even between your toes, to improve the flow of energy in your body. A hot stone massage can often be the more expensive option compared to a traditional basic massage, mainly because it requires more preparation and knowledge as well as being a longer treatment process.
