THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS

HIBIT AT THE

Walking through the exhibit, Chihuly demonstrates his prowess of the glass-blowing world by offering stunning installations such as the “Icicle Towers”, giant chandeliers, a upward (literally) perspective of a glass ceiling comprised of plates, stars, figurines and much more.

T

he work of Dale Chihuly constitutes some of the best examples of artistic creation through glass- blowing, and stands out as a refreshing reminder that the art world maintains that certain level of creative goodness the world craves. Chihuly’s work really offers one a wonderful sense of how life intertwines complexly in all of its wonderous beauty, but also how fragile life really is. From the larger pieces like the Icicle Towers to the smaller glass flowers and mushrooms, Chihuly has offered his take on looking through the glass, and it is well received.
