Editor’s
Note Hello out there to all of our valued readers. Here we are again, at the beginning of
yet another amazing issue of LTM. It’s been a hectic journey so far and I have learned an in- valuable amount over these past few months working with all of the young and inspirational individuals featured in our issues. The lessons I have learned and the stories that I have read, without a doubt have affected the direction of this Magazine.
This months issue alone, has given me great perspective on my own life and how I go
about acheiving my own dreams. What I have really been able to truly understand, may seem obvious to many of you out there. We have all been told that if you want to succeed in life, you should never give up. I've been hearing this for as long as I can remember, but it never seems to sink in correctly until we have seen or experienced how determination and tenacity result in the success of something we otherwise may not of believed in. Anyone can tell you not to give up, keep going, try again. But what does that mean
to those of us that think we are tired of pursuing a distant goal that takes entirly too much ef- fort? For me, it meant that I would work at it a little while longer and give up when I didn't get any closer to my goal. Since then, I’ve realized that no matter how unclear your chances for success may be, it doesn't hurt to try again. What I have learned from the powerfully driven people that I have worked with is to never throw away an opportunity to be better, to do great things, to change the world. A close personal friend of mine, when asked how he was doing, would always reply “I could be better”. He didn't say this to convey how horrible his life was, but because he believed that at any given moment in life, a person can dramatically improve the direction of his or her day, simply by dding more effort to the task at hand. It is amazing what self motivation and perseverance can help you ahcieve in life. The
people that I have met and the journies that I have heard, truly demonstrate how the right outlook on our everyday lives can bring great things for ourselves and all those around us. With that said, I know you've heard it a million times before and you’ll hear it a million more, but “dont give up”, “keep going”, and “try again”.
This issue is dedicated to our friend Vu Tran. Thank you for protecting this country. Come home safely and we will see you soon buddy.
