Does MoJo mainly focus on single mothers in the Boston area or across the United States? Currently MoJo only operates in Lowell, Ma, which is about a 45 minute drive from Boston. The plan behind MoJo is to grow rapidly because, by the nature of our business, the faster we grow the more people we are able to hire provide with strategic benefits. We are already looking to expand into Oakland, New Orleans, and Detroit; all cities with large populations of single mothers looking for a chance at a new career. This rapid expansion will likely occur through two business segments. The first of these will be the col- legiate and corporate logowear apparel market. MoJo makes logo-embroidered jackets, vests, hats, scarves, and more for large organizations and universities looking to make socially responsible choices. The other will be contract manufacturing, where other brands will bring business to MoJo through the practice of outsourced manufacturing. Unlike many outsourced manufacturing operations, which brands choose to do because they are cheaper and easier than running the operation themselves, MoJo contracted manufacturing will help brands promote social responsibility and contribute to re- building the US’s manufacturing industry. Even if a big brand only outsources 5% of their manufactur- ing to MoJo, it will be a large amount of business for our young company.


Where do you see MoJo going in the next decade to come? This is how I see it: Since MoJo exists to create sustainable employment opportunities in manufactur- ing then we will continue to expand their business line to manufacture any type of apparel or fabric- based product. From this perspective there is really no limit as to how big the company can grow. Today MoJo makes jackets, but the future of MoJo may include making everything from apparel to bed sheets to home décor. So who knows, in 10 years MoJo may be the largest manufacturer in the United States – wouldn’t that be amazing?
