Eddie’s Dog House serves fresh, homemade food

open since Memorial Day and the co-owners Janet Carlton and Eddie Neal couldn’t be more pleased. Carlton and her husband, Marc,


own the Exxon next door to the restaurant and when the previous owner, George’s Deli, moved out, the Carltons decided to partner with Neal and his wife, Beverly, to open Eddie’s Dog House. Neal is a native of the Leicester


community. Carlton is a California native who fell in love with the area while vacationing here and moved to the area about three years ago. Te restaurant offers a menu of


homemade and fresh food daily. Teir hamburgers are hand-patted, the fries are fresh cut and onion rings are hand-battered. Barbecue, wings, chicken tenders and salads are also on the menu. Eddie’s Dog

service and quality food every day.” says Carlton. “I want everyone to have a good experience when they eat our food or visit the restaurant. I think that is important.” Tey also want to be part of the


community and have a player of the week program for Erwin High


School athletes, offering a free meal to the student who is chosen each week. Eddie’s Dog House is located


on the corner of Leicester High- way and Old County Home Road next to Exxon. Te restaurant of- fers dine-in or take-out. It is open from 10:30 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday except for Fri- days when the restaurant is open until midnight.
