Warriors prepare for Cougars during open date

By Robin Wilson Erwin gets to catch its breath with a

bye week this week but one of the biggest games of the season looms Nov. 5. Te Warriors (8-2) will host Asheville

in a pivotal Mountain Athletic Confer- ence showdown.

“Tis is the biggest game we’ve had in

a while and it should be a good one,” said coach Mike Sexton. Erwin had little trouble disposing

North Buncombe on Friday (Oct. 22). Max Eatmon caught six passes, including two for touchdowns, in the 44-7 rout. “I was very pleased with the efforts of our players. Tey did what they needed

to do to secure the win. It was good to see a lot of the non-starters get a chance to play,” Sexton said. “I was proud of an- other solid performance by the offensive line. Defense also did well to keep them to one score.” Sexton said the focus now is primarily

on Asheville, who host the BlackHawks on Friday (Oct. 29).
