BRIGADIER GENERAL NADJA Y. WEST, M.D. Commander, Europe Regional Medical Command
President Obama nominated
Colonel West a brigadier general in April 2010. A physician, she had served as commander at Fort Bragg’s Womack Army Medical Center since July 2008. WAMC is a center of excellence for traumatic brain injury.
After graduating from the
U.S. Military Academy in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, she attended George Washington University School of Medicine where she earned a medical degree. Dr. West completed her internship and
residency in family practice at Martin Army Hospital, and was deployed during both operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
She did a second residency in dermatology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and at the University of Colorado Medical Center, and was assigned as chief of the Derma- tology Service at Heidelberg Army Hospital in Germany, where she served as division surgeon of the 1st Armored Division, deploying to Macedonia and Kosovo as deputy task force surgeon. She also served as chief of the Department of Medicine and the Dermatology Service at the 121st General Hospital in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Brig. Gen. West graduated from the National War College earning a Master of Sci- ence degree in national security strategy, and was assigned to the National Naval Medi- cal Center (NNMC) at Bethesda as the deputy commander for Integration, becoming the first Army officer to join the leadership team. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Family Practice.

Brigadier General Wyche’s previous assign- ments include commanding general, Joint Munitions & Lethality, Life Cycle Management Command/ Joint Munitions Command, and a recent redeploy- ment in Afghanistan, where he served as commander of the Joint Logistics Command, Combined Joint Task Force-76; commander, 4th Forward Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Division; logistics planner, and chief of readiness, assistant chief of staff, Logis- tics, XVIII Airborne Corps. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in logistics man- agement from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in national resource strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He is a graduate of the Industrial Col- lege of the Armed Forces; Joint Professional Military Education Course; Armed Forces Staff College; Command and General Staff College; and Logistics Executive Develop- ment Course. He is also a graduate of the Airborne and Air Assault Schools. Brig. Gen. Wyche also served in the enlisted ranks as a Cavalry Scout, and a squad and section leader in 2nd Armored Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

"ED" BOLTON, JR. Director, Cyber and Space Operations, Directorate of Operations, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force.
Major General Bolton, as the deputy
chief of staff for Operations, Plans and Requirements, provides senior Air Force leaders and commands with vision, ex- pertise, and staff support to integrate and synchronize space and cyber capabilities. He is also responsible for establishing policy, guidance and resources for space, cyber and information operations, to in- clude network warfare and influence op- erations, and he oversees the creation and development of both the Air Force cyber career field and the management of space professionals. Previously, he led 15,000 professionals providing IT services to 101,500 military and civilian members at 30 installations in the U.S. and overseas. Maj. Gen. Bolton began his Air Force ca- reer as an enlisted cost and management analyst. In 1980, he was selected for the Airmen Education and Commissioning Program, and commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1983 after completing an electrical engineering degree and Officer Training School. His experience includes serving as systems requirements manager at Headquarters Air Force Systems Com- mand and chief of the Space Lift Vehicles Requirements Branch at Headquarters Air Force Space Command. For two years he was director for defense policy at the National Security Council in the Executive Office of the President.
