obert started in a hilarious mood by


saying he did not know why he had been invited, perhaps (he thought) be- cause his dad was a Ro- tarian! He knew this be- cause as a child he went to the zoo with his mother and asked how the Lions made love and was told that she did not know because his dad was a Rotarian!

obert spent much time in Kenya and explained about


the Royal Overseas League and its excellent friendly hotel-like prem- ises in the UK, that we can all visit and stay at

―excellent recruitment drive, something we should all learn from!‖

made special reference to the speakers explanation about 1910 and their visionary movement and invitation of women into the mem- bership of the League
