The final quarter of a year in office by President Raj Naidu
I
Message from your
President
cannot believe how quickly my
year as the President of the Hornchurch and Upminster Rotary Club is coming to end. I can honestly
say that it has been a most interest- ing and pleasant task. It has not al- ways been easy as a ‗working‘ President because it is not always easy to drop everything to deal with a Rotary matter. I do not suppose my patients would appreciate me rushing off in the middle of a root canal. This and the wonders of traf- fic congestion has been the reason for the many times I have been de- layed or have only just beaten the bell for our lunchtime meetings. I would to thank you for your under- standing in this.
T I
hat aside, how exciting it has been for me and Pratibha. We
have had so many wonderful ex- periences it would be churlish to single any of them out. However the experience of having to drive to Germany, after somebody messed up my flight arrangements, is one that will live me for a very long time.
know there is still a while to go but I would like to thank my offi- cers and committee members for
their hard work and support in mov- ing the club forward.
I I would like to give a special thanks to my SVP Brian for step-
ping in at short notice to chair meetings when I have been de- layed and also those others of you who have fulfilled that role.
believe I have to reserve my main thanks to our club secre-
tary Geoff who patiently and skil- fully guides me through the agenda at every lunchtime meeting.

F

hope you will all make the effort to attend.

derstanding wife, Pratibha, for her sup- port and patience throughout my year in office.
Best Wishes Your President Raj Naidu
