10-PIN BOWLING EVENING 21-Jan-09 at The Brewery, Romford
10-PIN BOWLING A STRIKE FOR CLUB FELLOWSHIP! E
leven of us enjoyed an evening's Ten Pin Bowl-
ing at The Brewery, Rom- ford . We have no cup to play for so used the opportu- nity of building a competitive team for future sporting events. The highest score was an amazing 164 by the organiser, John Kent, greatly helped by three consecutive strikes
Rtn Keith Darville Speaker 15-Jan-09 O K T
eith then proceeded
to tell us about his Life as a Member of Parliament representing Upminster
he story that Keith had to say was extremely interesting
and I believe that it is well worth watching the video that is currently being circulated amongst our members
ur very own Keith Darville
explained how he got into politics at a
local level and the reasons he de- cided to stand as a local candidate for a seat in parliament
I
thought it very amusing when Keith told us about his first in-
troduction into the Houses of Par- liament and the confusion of all sharing the same large room as an office! Although, pleased to note that eventually Keith and oth- ers got settled, Who would believe that our Parliament could ever become so confused! A fantastic story a must to watch again on the club‘s video DVD
