us Happy Birthday to us…………Well it has now been a year since Colin and I produced our first edition of The Bull
H
e were both a bit like fish out of water at first and it was
touch and go as to whether we would be able to produce a bulletin a) on time and b) of any quality as we were following in the footsteps of two most accomplished former edi- tors, John Fowler and Colin Free- man.
ell we to are pleased with the result and on the whole I think
most of our members are too .For both of us it was a steep learning curve and although we are getting better at our various tasks we are not entirely satisfied with our (my) time management.
y the third, edition we were defi- nitely improving but Colin de-
cided that yours truly was in need of some tuition and understanding of the publishing side. Colin has now patiently guided me through two ses- sions of ‗How to use the Publisher programme‘ and I think my report card could say Making good pro- gress but Could do better.
feel quite pleased with what I have mastered so far and I seri-
ously hope that it will help Colin. He is a very busy man with a successful
appy Birthday to
business to run. T

hank you so much to all of the members who have provided us
with articles, stories, jokes and pho- tographs. Keep them coming in please as we cannot produce a bul- letin without them. Actually we could but the end result would be pretty pathetic.
hanks also for your donations for the Christmas greetings in
the December edition. We raised £215 which will go into our club funds.
olin and I are also open to any suggestions for future editions
(That’s enough of that- I know what some of you are thinking!) Of course we are still worried about getting this issue out on time, albeit, we are working hard at it Let‘s hope you are reading this before May or June.
s President Raj‘s year comes to a close we would like to offer
our congratulations for a splendid year in office and wish him the best of luck as he prepares for what should be a most interesting Presi- dent‘s night. I sincerely hope that as many members as possible will sup- port our President.
inally I should like to take this opportunity to wish you and your
families a Happy Easter. Cheers from your Editor Rtn George Larkey
