New Year crash diet Resolutions! I recovered on a Cruise Ship in the
Caribbean on a special liquid diet i.e.“DIET RUM” ha ha

“Its Easter Time” What is Easter?
aster to me is the time of the year for holidays, festivals and
for giving chocolate Easter eggs. However, I also believe Easter means much more.... Because as you may well know, Easter is the old- est and the most important Chris- tian Festival, being the celebration of the death and coming to life again of Jesus Christ.
or Christians, the dawn of Easter Sunday with its message
of new life is the high point of the Christian year, as you know I am not a preacher, however, I do believe that during this difficult Credit Crunch recession and all the hardship it has brought to most of our income needs and business we should reflect upon the hardship of Christ and the view- point of Christ when he came back to life at Easter

erhaps we can then learn from Christ and his resurrection as a
starting point, a new Dawn for us all to help to build a better world, I real- ise not an easy task ―for sure‖ I do believe the Aims & Objectives of Ro- tary are indeed a very good starting point and often wonder what the world would be like if everybody was a Rotarian? What changes would we make? Would the changes get us out of this shocking mess our World economy is in. I am a firm believer in one small step at a time, perhaps our faith in Easter will magically provide the first step, I sure do hope so!

hilst sitting with Lewis Beck- kers and the other
‘naughty boys‘ a couple of weeks ago I was im- pressed with Lew‘s knowl- edge about the changing dates of Easter and the phases of the moon. Lew certainly got me thinking! So guess who you can also blame for this somewhat ‘philosophical‘ message!
