Oasis 360 has a number of additional features introduced recently such as faster performance online real -time tracking of events could you explain the thinking behind these added features and there resulting benefits to operators? The beauty of Oasis 360 is that it is modular in design, so we can continually develop and supply new and even more technologically innovative products that can be added to the Oasis 360 system. This design enables operators to add features to further benefit their players and adjust to changing market conditions and technological advancements.
The thinking behind the newly released modules is the same as the thinking behind the entire Oasis 360 product line: we want to provide customers with the latest tools to cater to their player’s wants and needs and enable the casino to remain competitive in the marketplace. The new features have been helping operators do just that.
It is also important to note that we have significantly increased our Oasis 360 product management group. This group is dedicated to understanding, capturing and prioritizing customer enhancement and additional functionality requests – making sure that our customers voice and requirements are fed directly back into our product development process.
How many Countries does Aristocrat supply into? Aristocrat is a global company selling gaming products into more than 90 countries worldwide. However the US and Canada is our single biggest market and represents over 60% of Aristocrat’s total profitability.
It should, therefore, be of no surprise that we are very focused on ensuring we are developing the absolute right products for this market.
We are also very proud of our Oasis 360 installed base. Our Oasis 360 system is in use in nearly 270 casinos across North America, and that’s more than any other supplier’s system. Simply put, no other system supplier is more widely used or trusted as is Aristocrat.
What are in your opinion the key aspects of working at Aristocrat over the years that most impress you about the organisation and why? Aristocrat is an innovative, forward-looking company that can quickly move and adapt to changing market conditions and customer demands.
What really excites me about working at Aristocrat is the size of the opportunity we have in front of us (especially right here in North America) and the appetite the company has to seize and capitalize on those opportunities.
What do you like best about your role at Aristocrat Technologies? A few things. I really do enjoy working in our industry and for one of the true pioneering gaming manufacturers. It is always great to hear the high level of satisfaction our customers have on both our game and system products.
I also believe we have a great team of people and a great company culture. We have been consistently recognized (by external surveys) as having one of the best service support teams in the industry.
Government statistics World Wide all seem to share the same conclusion that during economic downturns the levels of corruption and piracy increase by a minimum of 25%, do you think Gaming Manufacturers are doing enough to crack down on this costly escalating crime in the world wide Gaming Industry?
I expect there would always be a very close correlation between increasing crime levels and challenging economic conditions. However, the gaming industry is one (if not the most) highly regulated industries.
Who we employ, who we use as suppliers, who we sell to and of course the integrity and quality of our products are always subject to extremely high internal and external scrutiny and standards.
Operators and Suppliers have had to implement high standards of internal controls because quite simply we cannot put at risk our licenses – without a gaming license you are out of business. Therefore I think the industry in general is probably more prepared than most to deal with any increase in crime and corruption.
