markets we are set for an aggressive growth period. In Vitruvian, we have found the right partner to enable that growth. We have identified a number of attractive development opportunities to support and reinforce our leading position in the markets in which we currently operate and also opportunities for international expansion. This development will be best achieved under private ownership and Vitruvian is committed to supporting us.
The team at Vitruvian shares our passion and ambition to expand the business in our core markets – Casino, Bingo, Leisure and Betting, in International Virtual content sales and Casino Server-Based Gaming (SBG), and in large new international SBG VLT/Casino slots markets such as Italy and beyond.
During the early part of this decade Server Based Systems had a mixed reception by the Casino industry for various reasons many of them based on technical IT related compatibility issues. How has Inspired Gaming dealt with those concerns?
Everything new is unfamiliar and often unpopular in the beginning, especially when it comes to technology. Quite simply, many operators were scared of the unknown technology and the training costs involved in implementing new systems. Concerns about the time and money needed to adopt new technology always slows down progress in our industry. Another factor is that regulators were behind

the times with SBG – they did not understand the technology and its advantages, and therefore did not champion the technology and made it difficult to implement in many territories.
Casino operators also didn’t see the necessity for multiple content options on one terminal which is one of the key advantages of SBG. The view was that most casinos had enough variety to keep customers interested and if the current technology isn’t broken, why fix it?
More latterly, the casino industry has woken up to the benefits of CRM and how by understanding your customer, you can tailor marketing messages (food, drink or hotel rooms for example) but also content and stakes to specific players. This targeted approach has a significant impact on player experience and therefore loyalty. The modern gamer has certain expectations of technology and is looking for a unique experience.
New technology does not necessarily mean new devices and physical products. The future of out-of- home gaming lies with content and not hardware, but I think it took a while for people to really buy into this. It’s a big change in mentality to think about the best content and not the best cabinet; and Open SBGTM is the only platform that has truly delivered this.
How many Countries does Inspired supply into?
The UK is a core market for us but we are seeing significant demand for our products in Central and Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America.
