cabinets is protected by encryption and has a regular software integrity check. From a network point of view – this is protected using a standard commercial VPN (virtual private network) for all traffic. This is wrapped with a custom commissioning system to make it easily operable for the casino market.
Access to the management console is protected using an authentication, authorisation, and auditing system which also allows a manager to control what groups of devices are managed as well as what permission is granted
Have you got any advice for Casino Operations on advantages of how involving the latest technology can improve their Casinos bottom line?
Casino operators need to start seeing technology as the main component of the casino mix. The gaming machines are what consumers come to play and they now expect the best technology and the best gaming experience. Inspired’s Open SBG system is like the Apple of the slots market, because it allows third parties to develop content for the platform, creating a free content market much like the Apple app market. There is a currently a gulf between in-home and out-of-home entertainment and operators need to be welcoming the technology that is bridging these gaps.
Open SBG is all about enabling operators to offer the best in breed content to customers. The 21st century consumer lives a connected life with significant content options whether that be news publications, TV channels or mobile content. Casino customers expect to experience the same level of choice – they are more selective and have greater expectations. A more engaging player experience increases machine income, while operators can enjoy a lower cost base through fewer machine changes and remote diagnostics mean less site visits by engineers.
As well as the product itself, casino operators should 38
be really pushing their suppliers to provide analysis of play in their venues by hour and content type. Inspired provides its customers with analysis reports, generally on a weekly basis, to show the operator the different profiles of their customers and what is popular at any given time. Our revenue management team then builds menus for the operator that capitalise on this information – lowering stakes at quite times and switching content to suit day-time and evening business. All this intelligence and control over the platform is why we are proven to maximise revenues!
This edition of Casino Life will be read by a good deal of the visitors to this year’s Enada Rome, Interazar Madrid and BEGE Sofia exhibitions, what are ‘must see’ exhibits on the Inspired stands and why at this year’s Enada Rome Show?
Inspired is extremely excited about exhibiting at Enada Rome this October, where we will be showing our Open VLT platform and VLT products specifically for the Italian market. As one of only three approved suppliers in Italy – and the only independent supplier to the market - we’re proud to be able to demonstrate approved products that are already live in Sisal venues. Our Open VLT platform is compatible with third party content and third party cabinets, meaning that visitors to the Inspired stand will be able to see a wide range of top content on a number of different cabinets. We will also be running demonstrations of our powerful revenue management, reporting and analysis tools; showing how operators can analyse the play in their venues and then change stakes and games depending on the time of day or day of the week. Inspired’s VLTs have the most exciting jackpot systems available in Italy and we will be demonstrating this with some great prizes on the stand.Inspired will also be showing its bingo product at this year’s G2E Vegas and the whole team will be out in force at this year’s IGE in London. All of our product range will be part of our IGE stand and we look forward to launching some new things for the casino market at the show.
