Carolyn’s Giant Leap - Postponed!
AS reported in last month’s Diary, Carolyn Rickards was all set to conquer her fears and take a giant leap in memory of Tavistock Times Gazette colleague, Sue Pennington (Penny) who sadly passed away in April this year.
Unfortunately due to the heavy cloud formation on the day, Carolyn was unable to do her sponsored skydive scheduled for Sunday 8th August and this will now take place on 12th September, weather permitting.
Says Carolyn, “although I am disappointed not to have been able to do the dive on the day, it does mean that there is now an opportunity to gain more sponsors. All proceeds will go to St Lukes Hospice and I would like to thank everyone who has given so generously so far”.
If you would like to sponsor Carolyn, please contact the Tavistock Times on 01822 613666

I would just like to say how much Harry and I have enjoyed coming to your Jo Jingles classes over the past 3 and a half years. Your patience, enthusiasm and encouragement for all the children to join in is fantastic. Harry has learnt so much and is now ready for school. He will definitely miss your classes but I’m sure we’ll still have the CDs on in the car!
Thank you once again,’
