Kilworthy Arts & Crafts Festival Kilworthy Farm Tavistock

Book signing with local crime fiction writer Margaret Duffy, who with assistance from Vanni Cook will be offering one-to-one writing sessions. Open to all who appreciate crime fiction and creative writing. Free event but booking essential as places for one to one sessions are limited.


11th & 12th Sept Tavistock Food Festival Bedford Hotel, Tavistock


The car park will be the main exhibition area & the garden will become a rest & refreshment area. The Hotel will be serving Devonshire cream teas throughout the weekend. This year the Festival’s chosen charities are St Lukes Hospice and Devon Air Ambulance.


12th September Teddy Bear Service


St.Eustachius Parish Church, Tavistock 9.45am A special service to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the St. Eustachius’ Mother and Baby Group.This will be an act of worship for everyone in the family. Hopefully both young and ‘older’ will bring their favourite teddy bears with them to enjoy this service. There will be refreshments for teddy bear owners after the service.

Tour of Britain Events Bedford Square, Bedford


Tavistock will be playing host to one of the UK’s biggest sporting events - the Tour of Britain professional cycling race. Teams of professional riders will set off from Bedford Square on the 5th Stage of the race. There will also be a live music event and extreme sports show and a food show in the Town Hall.
