Vice President Francis Martin managing partner, BDO
Francis Martin, president of Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce, is managing partner of BDO in Northern Ireland.
A chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Business Consulting, Francis is recognised as one of Northern Irelandʼs leading business advisers. He is a highly experienced corporate finance and strategy adviser with expertise across a wide range of industries and projects, including leading several reporting accounting assignments for clients listing on the UK Stock Exchange, a novel role for an accountant in Belfast.
Francis has been involved in numerous major corporate finance assignments, including due diligence, advising on company acquisitions and disposals, investigations, fundraising, assisting on management buyout transactions and business and strategy development.
Francis is the immediate past chairman of the Institute of Business Consultancy in Northern Ireland. A former member of the Board of Governors of Wellington College, Francis is currently a governor of Lagan College.
Mark Nodder, group managing director, The Wright Group
The Wright Group is the UKʼs leading independent supplier of accessible buses for public transportation systems throughout the country.
Brenda Morgan– bmi sales manager for Northern Ireland
Brenda joined bmi, British Midland International in 1993 and was based in their headquarters at Castle Donington. She returned to Belfast in 1995 to head up the local sales administration team.
Since 1997, she has held a number of key sales positions within the company culminating in her appointment in 2004 as bmi sales manager for Northern Ireland. Brendaʼs primary responsibility is retaining and growing the bmi market share on the Belfast to London Heathrow route and the onward international network both for bmi and Star Alliance.
Under her leadership, the Belfast to London Heathrow route is one of the most successful routes within the bmi destination portfolio and the leading carrier from Belfast to London Heathrow.
Cathy McCorry, managing director, Grafton Employment Group, Ireland
Cathy McCorry is managing director of The Grafton Employment Group, Irelandʼs largest recruitment solutions provider and a growing international force. Cathy is instrumental in driving this multi‑million pound business in her former role as COO and now in her role as MD where she now has responsibility for all aspects of the strategic management of Grafton Employment Group in Ireland. A new patron to the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce, Cathy believed in mutually beneficial partnerships and hopes to demonstrate this level of commitment by sharing her experience and challenges, both personal and professional within a local context for all business models throughout Ireland. Cathyʼs background was a Chartered Accountant before she joined Grafton in 1995 as a branch manager. She is also is a member of the Northern Ireland Employment Affairs Committee, Skills Council NI, member of the Institute of Directors and former regional director of the REC.
Mark joined The Wright Group in 1998 to develop export sales, the Customcare aftersales division and in recent years the UK Bus Sales and Marketing activities of the company. Since December 2006, he has taken the position of group managing director.
Mark is a lawyer by training, with over 25 years experience of business development, project management, sales and marketing. After leaving Manchester Metropolitan University, he initially worked for the National Audit Office before relocating to Saudi Arabia for a management role with the Saudi Ministry of Defence and Aviation. Returning to the UK, and taking up residence in Northern Ireland, Mark spent 10 years as Sales and Marketing director of Shorts Missile Systems before joining The Wright Group Mark is also a member of the newly established Economic Advisory Group (EAG).
