(1) Karen Russell has been appointed as project administration manager for Atlas Communications. Initially she will be involved in the implementation of new call handling and service ordering systems as well as a new in‑house billing platform. She will assist in overseeing the integration of these projects into all areas of the business.
(2) Ray McCavery has been appointed as support manager for Atlas Communications. His role is to manage the provision of professional support services to Atlas customers maintaining the high standards expected, achieving effective resolutions to challenges that arise and ensuring that operational objectives are met.
(3) Mark Skillen has been appointed as technical development manager for Atlas Communications and will drive technical development within Atlas as part of its investment programme to deliver and roll out ʻnext generationʼ products and services to current and future customers. With many years experience in both voice and data, Mark will be responsible for the development of new products and for the development of Atlasʼ Data Centre and Fibre‑optic network, to ensure they maintain high product standards and continuously improve service delivery.
(4) Richard Elliott has been appointed sales director of Webrecruit Ireland Ltd, a new online employment recruitment company spearheaded by James Caan of Dragonsʼ Den fame. His role will principally be to communicate Webrecruitʼs low cost recruitment service to prospective employers through
www.webrecruitireland.com. A former general manager of Recruitment Advertising at ASG Ltd, before that he was a recruitment consultant with employment specialists Adecco and Tim Lewis Recruitment. Richard graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Sheffield. He holds Diplomas in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and Management from the Chartered Management Institute. He also earned a Foundation Award in Recruitment Practice from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

(5) A&L Goodbody has announced that Louise Bailey is joining the Belfast office as a Partner in the firmʼs Banking and Financial Services group. Louise has extensive experience in property finance, group securities and securitisation and acts for a wide range of domestic and international financial institutions in all areas of secured lending. Louise also advises on the Northern Irish aspects of the acquisition of mortgage pools including origination documentation due diligence.
(6) Belfast law firm Cleaver Fulton Rankin has appointed Michael Graham to private client partner, bringing the total partner team to 13. Michael specialises in Trust and Estate matters including wills, estates and trusts, inheritance tax planning, succession planning, enduring powers of attorney, nursing issues and Office of Care and Protection work.
(7) Vodafone NI has appointed Jonathan Whitfield to the post of telephone account manager with responsibility for business sales, delivering value and support to Vodafoneʼs small SME and corporate clients . Jonathan has joined Vodafone from The Independent Business Channel where he worked for eight years.
8) Vodafone NI has appointed Lenny Harbinson to the post of area sales manager with responsibility for overseeing the management and development of the corporate customer base. Lenny has worked in the telecoms industry for more than 12 years and joins Vodafone from another major telecommunications provider.
(9) Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast has appointed Siobhan OʼSullivan, from Dublin, director of Sales & Marketing. She will report directly to the general manager of The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast, Vincent OʼGorman. Siobhan has over 10 years experience within the Irish hotel and catering industry, including pivotal marketing and operational roles at the Park Plaza, Stillorgan Park and Mespil hotels, all in Dublin, and Marriott Johnstown House Hotel & Spa in Meath. From 2009 to 2010, Siobhan was vice president of the Dublin 15 Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Fingal Dublin Hotels group and Business Network International.
