The Ganaraska Forest Horse Club (GFHC) has started off the 2010 Trail Riding season in fine fashion! On Sunday May 30 the Club hosted its annual “Poker Ride” at the Ganaraska Forest Cen- tre. It was our best attendance ever with a total of 94 riders joining in on the fun. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! Highlights of the event include: the poker pot, with total winnings of $470.00, was won by Jacquie Handsford – a new member to the Club, Millbrook Lions Club served lunch, 12 volunteers assisted everyone to make the day a success, $1000.00 cheque was presented to Steve McMullen of the Ganaraska Region Conser- vation Authority for our annual donation to sup- port the Centre. All in all it was a fantastic day and thank you to everyone for your contributions! For a Club to experience such success and to support trail riding in the Forest it takes dedication and hard work by many folks. The 2010/2011 GFHC Executive Board includes: President- Anne Vavra

Future events for the Club include:
June 26 – Summer Sizzler ride. To be held at San- daraska campground. Guided ride will leave at 10:00 a.m. sharp. This will be a walk/trot ride. Please check our website for further details.
