DRIVER PROFILES BY J. WALLY NESBITT AND GREG MACPHERSON #00 Pierre Bourque
HOMETOWN: Ottawa, Ontario // BIRTH DATE: October 7, 1958 SPONSOR(S) / MAKE: Telus / Aaron’s / Mahindra / Castrol Dodge Avenger
NOTABLE: After several years driving a Whitlock Motorsports- prepared car, Bourque will campaign the No. 00 Dodge out of the DJK Racing stable in 2010. Pierre is planning to take part in as many as eight races, which is up from six in 2009. Finished seventh at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve last August.
QUOTABLE: ”I’m excited to have DJ Kennington putting my cars together for me this season. We’ll be doing four races with support from Telus, four with Aaron’s and one with Mahindra Tractors. I’m looking for a bunch of top-10s and maybe even some top-fives. DJ does a great job on the cars and his dad, Doug, puts great motors together. My job will be to maximize the opportunity when I’m on the track.”
#02 Kerry Micks
HOMETOWN: Mount Albert, Ontario // BIRTH DATE: January 10, 1962 // SPONSOR(S) / MAKE: Dickies Canada / Beyond Digital Imaging / NGK / Steady Mate / Cathcart Trucking / Seguin Marine / Castrol / CDS / Thor Motors / Mustard Seed Contracting / Prostate Cancer Canada Ford Fusion

QUOTABLE: ”Bill McFarland and Mark Dilley set up the Dick- ies programme for us and the timing couldn’t have been bet- ter. It allowed us to build a new car and this could be the final piece of the puzzle that we’ve been looking for. We have a top-three team, we’ll be right there this season.”

NOTABLE: ‘Jay’ was the 2006 CASCAR Rookie of the Year. Scored his first win at Kawartha Speedway in the 2008 sea- son finale. Didn’t win in 2009, notching season-best results of fourth (Saskatoon) and fifth (Barrie). Finished seventh over- all, with 10 top-10 finishes. Ed Hakonson Racing has up- dated its road course car, and Jason will have a new McColl oval track mount at his disposal this year.
QUOTABLE: “With our new car and three brand new ‘spec’ motors, we’re in good shape for this year. We’ve improved our position in the points standings every year, so top-five is not out of the question. A top-three would be a real nice achievement...”
