BRAD MORAN DIRECTOR Brad Moran joined NASCAR in De-


cember 2008 when he was named Series Director of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series succeeding Richard Coughlin who held the post for two seasons. Moran came to NASCAR with over 20 years of experience in the motorsports industry. Most recently, he was the owner of


Barrie (Ont.) Speedway. There, he recon- figured the race track which included adding a pit road in an effort to attract bigger events. He built a top-notch local racing program at the .333-mile bullring that remains one of the finest in Ontario.


In 2007, Moran and Barrie Speedway hosted a pair of NASCAR Canadian Tire Series events in its inaugural season. He also brought the speedway into the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series family of tracks. In addition to his seven seasons at Barrie Speedway, Moran has had a varied presence


in the sport since the early 1990s. Primarily, though, racing was a hobby as he owned and operated businesses in the printing industry until purchasing Barrie Speedway prior to the 2001 season. Moran resides in Brechin, Ont., and has a daughter and granddaughter.


TREVOR HAMBLY RACE DIRECTOR Trevor Hambly joined NASCAR in 2007


as Race Director for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Prior to joining NASCAR, Ham- bly spent nine seasons with CASCAR as Race Director (2006), Technical Director (2004-05) and Inspector (1998-2003). He also spent seven years as a CASCAR crew chief for Rob Neely (1990-95) and Robin Buck (1996). A native of Toronto, Hambly resides in Brampton, Ont. with his wife, Christine and their three children.

TIM ELLAS TECHNICAL DIRECTOR Tim Ellas joined NASCAR in 2007 as an in-

spector for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and was named Technical Director last August. Prior to that, Ellas was a successful CASCAR crew chief. He guided Dan Shirtliff to the 1996 eastern and national championships earning Crew-Chief-of-the-Year honors. He also led the Dave Jacombs and Ron Beauchamp Jr. teams from 2000-2004. A native of Huntsville, Ont., Ellas currently


resides in Acton, Ont. with his wife, Kathy, and has two sons.
