The Sustainable Energy Conference

promotes energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy education initiatives in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, will hold its Sustainable Energy Conference July 14 through July 16 at Lehigh University’s Stabler Arena. This three-day gathering of green career seekers, industry professionals, educators, policy makers and entrepreneurs seeking to develop an understanding of sustainable energy and facili- tate discussions on overcoming the barriers to a sustainable energy future.

The conference will include free, education-based seminars and hands-on training, professional development and networking opportunities. The Sustainable Energy Expo gathers established industry vendors, new entrants and in- novations under one roof. Attendees have the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs and established companies with the lat- est technology in sustainable energy including LED lighting, solar photovoltaic, biomass, geothermal and energy efficien- cy technologies. Registration fees help fund scholarships for teachers, professors and students to attend the conference and pre-conference boot camps. The Why and How of Stress T


he Lehigh Valley Chapter of The Weston A. Price Foundation, is sponsoring “Stress – Why and How It’s Killing (or at least harming) Us All,” presented by D. Andrew Neville, ND, on Thursday, July 22 at the United Steel- workers Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., presentation begins at 7 p.m. Dr. Neville, who runs the Clymer


Healing Center in Quakertown, will discuss why stress is harmful, how to identify stress triggers and reduce or elimi- nate those that can be controlled, not worry about those that can’t, and then work to seek balance for all the rest. Dr. Neville will discuss simple interventions and a variety of treatment alternatives for those not yet at “optimal balance” or are experiencing stress-related symptoms. Local produc- ers are invited to bring grass-fed, organic, and/or biodynamic products for sampling or sale. Attendees can check out the produce tables before and after the presentation. Books and videos will also be available. The presentation will be held at 53 East Lehigh Street in
