Sandtoft Roof Tiles is celebrating
the 15th anniversary of its specialist ‘heritage’ division. Sandtoft Heritage Services was set up in 1995 to provide an expert resource for some of the country’s major conservation and restoration projects and in that time has helped to restore over 500 historical buildings. Sandtoft has more than 100 years experience in producing bespoke clay tiles. The years spent developing their wide range of roof tiles has helped Sandtoft to develop diverse expertise needed to carry out heritage work as economically as possible and to the highest standard.

This comes on the back of last week’s announcement that the stalled
Westfield shopping centre site in Bradford city centre is to be transformed into community gardens, wild-flower meadows and art spaces through a joint initiative by Bradford Council and developers Westfield. This temporary use for the site will not affect the future development, but will bring large parts of the ten-acre site back into public use. On the edge of the City Park, Developers McAleer and Rushe will complete their 120,000 sq ft office and 200-bed hotel scheme later this year, bringing one of Bradford’s financial giants into the city and providing a further boost to the hotel market. The £750 million Learning Quarter also commences on site this year, to deliver the most sustainable student village in the UK. Prologis – an international logistics developer identified the many
advantages Bradford has to offer by making it the base for its flagship employment park. Marks and Spencer have made the 1 million square foot facility their home for their largest distribution centre in Europe due to Bradford’s central location in the UK and good communication links. The momentum of regeneration is becoming increasingly visible on
the ground as Bradford moves into the seventh year of a 20 year regeneration programme.
