Caroline’s Celebration Cakes was established over 25 years ago and since then has been making beautifully iced cakes for the many brides of Blackburn and surrounding areas. Professionally iced cakes are baked and decorated on the premises to the highest standard
using only the finest
ingredients. These could be rich fruit cakes, matured in brandy, delicious dark chocolate fudge cakes or plain vanilla sponge. For any occasion from Weddings, Birthdays, Christenings and children’s novelty cakes. To see examples of the many and varied designs available, visit our showroom situated on Whalley New Road, which is the A666 Clitheroe to Blackburn Road and is between Skewbridge and the junction of St. James Road and Whalley New Road. Wool Crafts Etc
The Wool Shop opened on 6th January this year and was previously trading as an equestrian outlet. That business was moved to other premises on 24th December 2009. Starting out as a wool shop selling Double Knit, Chunky Baby Double Knit, and Raffles Baby Double Knit. A selection of Knitting needles, Crochet hooks, patterns, and also a range of card making items, gifts, and open cards. The business is introducing Knitting and / or Crochet classes, and Card making classes. We only need 4 to 5 people to start a class so if you have few friends and want to get started ring Linda or call in for details. You will also find a range of wooden toys in the store, which are all safe for small children such as:- Car transporters, Block Carriers, Helicopters, Roundabouts and Rattles. Names to order as a Jigsaw and a plaque. Craft books are available on subjects such as Quilting, Knitting and Sewing. There is also a selection of cat & dog items, Wild Bird seed, peanuts and rabbit “ Wag, Bunny Brunch”

Leanne Barker has been the proud owner of Studio 23 for 3 years and has over 8 years experience including NVQ level 3 and an assessors award. So Leanne can pass on her wealth of experience to all her apprentices. Leanne’s talents also expand to certain aspects of beauty, and, along with Ria, the Studio’s in - house and highly qualified beautician, will be holding a wine and cheese evening and will be demonstrating Microdermabrasion. There will be lots of discounts and vouchers given out, so why not call Leanne for more information. Jaime has been with the Studio for two years and, already an experienced nail technician, she is about to qualify as a hairdresser adding even more experience to salon. Studio 23 offers a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Nothing is too much trouble for Leanne and her staff. The spacious and much loved salon offers all aspects of hair and beauty, from a child’s haircut to a fashionable creative new style. The salon also caters for those special occasions such as Wed- dings, Proms, Holidays, and Leanne offers a full package of Hair & Beauty at discounted rates.
