2010 OQHA Queen & Princess Contest

The 2010 OQHA Queen and Princess Con- test will be held June 5th, 2010 and hosted at the Southern Ontario Spring Classic Quarter Horse Show in Ilderton, ON Queen applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 as of Jan- uary 1st, 2010, they also must be current members of OQHA in good stand- ing with a minimum of one (1) year prior OQHA Membership. A $25 entry fee payable to OQHA must be received with the
application by the April 30, 2010 deadline.
A block of stalls has been reserved for Queen Contestants. Please con- tact Joyce Simpson 519- 864-4333 or email
sjasimpson@aol.com Princess Applicants must be between the ages of 8 and 13 as of January 1, 2010 they also must be current members of OQHA in good standing. A $10 entry fee payable to OQHA must be received with the appli- cation by the April 30,
2010 deadline.
Contestants will be required to assemble dressed in dressy western Attire. They also must present a short speech (1 minute) that they have written, titled “Why I Love Quarter Horses” Entry forms are posted on

Stud fees can be purchased at 60% of the advertised stud fee, so this is an excellent oppor- tunity to get a breeding to a great stallion at a sig- nificantly reduced rate. All get from the stal-

The Ontario Quar- ter Horse Breeders Futurity will be hold- ing All Breed Slot Classes at the 2010 OQHBF and Fall Finale Quarter Horse Show. (Limited to 20 slots per class). They will be held Saturday, September 11th, 2010 in conjunction with the OQHBF Royal Cana- dian Riding Academy, Newmarket Ontario.
Open Slots: $250 Non-Pro Slots: $150

OQHA Youth Appointed to 2010 AQHA Youth World Cup
We are pleased to announce the follow- ing OQHA Youth have been appointed to rep- resent Canada at the 2010 AQHA Youth World Cup being held from July 3rd to 11th, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Paige Carter Fleetwood from St. George Ontario and Rianna Storey from Cambridge Ontario will be two of five competing riders.
Kennedy Almas from Hagersville, Ontario and Amanda Thomson from Oil Springs, Ontario will be the alternate riders. Jasmyn Rivait from Orillia Ontario will be one of three leadership members attending.
Congratulations to these outstanding youth and we wish you the best of luck in July. Go Team Canada!
