Callaway Tour Fit Van Hits
The Canadian Roads
Golfers seeking Callaway Golf Equipment will have a new fitting
option this summer, one that treats them almost like a touring
professional.
There will be two Callaway Tour Fit vans crossing the country
this year, one in eastern Canada and one out west. Each van will
be heading out to demo days and other locations, some 300-400 in
total, to provide a unique fit and building experience for golfers with
an interest in Callaway product.
“They are incredible,” says regional Callaway sales
representative Andy Dexter who operates out the National Capital
and hopes to have the Tour Fit Van available for local golfers on a
good number of occasions. “To be able to provide the service that
we can do with these vehicles, right on-site, is so beneficial to the
golfer,” he told Flagstick.
Each van is operated by a pair of trained technicians who can
use radar-based Trackman technology to fit golfers for whatever
type of club they are looking for - woods, irons, wedges, or hybrids,
and then build them on the spot. The fitting process takes 45 minutes
to an hour according to Barry Wallis, Callaway Golf Canada’s
Performance Centre and Education Manager, with the club build
adding another hour to the process. “We have 95% of the options
we have available to us at Callaway on the van, if they don’t have
what you need then we can ship the product out to you or your golf
shop within 2 business days.”
The distinctive vans are fitted with all the club building equipment
necessary for assembly/adjustments with plenty of custom options.
