Opening In May
Development Programs Return
The Kingston District of the Golf Association of Ontario is getting
set for a full slate of 2009 events and that includes the return of their
annual Player Development Programs. The ladies program is
already full but the male program is still taking applicants for a
limited number of spots.
Each program, one for ladies and one for males, offers a multi-
day learning experience where players work with local CPGA
Professionals to hone there skills all at an affordable price. The
goal is to foster learning and to provide players the tools they need

The ladies program, the longest running and most successful in
the province, will have a new location for 2009. The Black Bear
Ridge Golf Course in Belleville, Ontario, will play host on May 23
rd
and 24th. Guiding that program will be famed CPGA Professional
Cathy Sherk, who has a storied record as both a player and
teacher. As an amateur she was the #1 ranked player in the
world. The Women’s Player Development Program started in the
Kingston District in 1995.

Boys and Girls Jr. Golf Camps
Ages 7-15, will run for 7 weeks starting June 29
th
and
ending the week of August 14
th
. The cost is $200 +gst
per week per child, 8am to 12 noon Monday to Friday.
Golf Instruction by CPGA Golf Professionals. Nutritious
snack provided everyday and lunch included on Friday.
Advanced Camps
For kids that have the basics down and want to get to the
next level. Running from August 10th – 14
th
$200 +gst for the week
Full Day Golf and Hockey Camp
ages 10-14 July 28 to Aug 1st $325 +gst
