Outside the classroom, Columbia students participate in our more than 85 clubs and organizations, and take active roles in our award-winning student newspaper, the college’s radio station, mul- tiple student magazines, a cable television soap opera, theater pro- ductions, dance concerts, photography and art exhibits, and a film and video festival.
Columbia is an eclectic, urban environment located in the Education Corridor of the city’s South Loop neighborhood. Close by are several other colleges and universities, the Art Institute, Navy Pier, the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum, the Chicago Symphony, the main branch of the Chicago Public Library, and the Goodman Theatre.
