Albertus Magnus College is committed to providing a vibrant curriculum and a high quality academic experience.
A Catholic
College in the Dominican tradition since 1925, it is set on 50 beau- tiful acres in historic New Haven, Connecticut. This four year, pri- vate, Liberal Arts College is small by design and personal in nature. It is able to offer students a high degree of individual attention. The College has approximately 500 full-time undergraduate students and a faculty with a primary focus on teaching. Our stu- dent/faculty ratio is 13:1; and over ninety percent of our faculty hold a Ph.D or equivalent. Our small size supports what we define as an ideal education: the close association and collaboration among teachers and students.
Albertus Magnus College offers more than 50 undergraduate majors, minors, and concentrations, with pre-professional prepara- tion and seven graduate programs. Some of our majors include Art Therapy, Business, Criminal Justice, Education, Psychology, and Sport Management.
Social and intellectual stimulation is also created by the sur- rounding community.
Nearly 20,000 college students call New
Haven home. With quick and easy connections to metro New York, Boston, and Providence, it’s a great place to learn and an excellent springboard to explore the world. A visit to our campus is the best way to see how well you would fit in to this unique aca- demic community. We encourage all prospective students to sched- ule a personal campus tour by calling the Office of Admission at 800-578-9160.
