BA Components backs independent retailers
at national awards Sales and Marketing director, David Caulfield tells us why
B
A Components is a manufacturer of kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and home office doors; supplying bespoke products to resellers in over 20 countries across the globe from their factories in Cookstown, Northern Ireland and Doncaster, Yorkshire. The company is currently in its 26th year of business and has recently launched another new brand – Valore by BA – within its ever-expanding product offering.
What was your impression of the inaugural awards last year and why are you sponsoring the 2016 event?
The inaugural awards produced a really great night of entertainment, fun, networking and reward for all who attended. The venue was fantastic with attendees rubbing shoulders, albeit wax one’s with people as diverse as Barack Obama to Michael Jackson and Gandhi to the Queen. We feel the diversity of awards within the KBB industry is to be encouraged as it offers the opportunity for all to shine. To further this belief, we are sponsoring the award for independent kitchen retailers.
How important are Awards to the kbb industry in encouraging and celebrating achievement and in terms of networking opportunities? An opportunity to meet like-minded professionals and share ideas, problems and anecdotes in a relaxed social atmosphere should never be underestimated. These particular awards, where decisions are made based purely on peer opinion and appreciation, adds to the encouragement and appreciation, increasing motivation and the sense of reward.
How long has the company been in the business and how has it contributed to the growth and success of your particular product sector(s)? We celebrated our 25th year in business during 2015, headlined by a once in a lifetime black tie gala awards night for our customers, staff, guests and sponsors. Now in our 26th year of business, we are continuing the celebration with our recent launch of another new BA brand at the 2016 KBB exhibition in Birmingham. On top of that, we have added nearly 20 new designs and colours to our existing product range. And if that wasn’t enough, we have recently secured another factory production facility, this time in Rotherham, to manufacture the BA ClicBox units from the UK.
Our investment in product development with dedicated support from our staff is what has propelled us to this position today, and we hope to continue in our growth within the KBB industry in the years to come.
How do you see the future of the industry and the role of your brands in delivering quality, style, functionality and value for money to customers?
The feeling of genuine recovery and real optimism in our industry was further strengthened and heightened by the recent success of KBB Birmingham. There is real opportunity for development and growth in our market but we need to temper that with an understanding of ongoing political and fiscal pressures that can still impact adversely on this. To ensure we play our part in establishing this growth and growing these opportunities it is important we concentrate on good design, have an eye on how our products work practically for our final audience and ensure the highest levels of quality and service. Delivering quality, style, functionality and value for money to customers is paramount in BA’s ongoing planning and strategy. It’s the only path to continued success.
