New ArtiCAD and Vizuality Studio partnership: ArtiCAD Virtual Studio to be world’s
first wireless VR walkthrough T
wo of the most dynamic and technically advanced exhibitors at this year’s KBB show at the NEC, CAD software specialist, ArtiCAD, and virtual reality leaders, Vizuality Studio, have formed an exciting new partnership, which has already resulted in the first new joint development: “ArtiCAD Virtual Studio”. Both companies have now put together a plan for a series of innovative product developments which will bring together the strengths of the two companies specifically for the benefit of the KBB market.
Vizuality Studio has developed a unique customer- experience concept based on visualisation, through a wireless VR headset in a room sized ‘rig’, where the user walks around, whilst wearing the headset and viewing all the items in the room space in 3D. The virtual kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms (or, indeed, any living space) which are created using ArtiCAD’s software, deliver an awe-inspiring, fully immersive experience for the user. Theresa Turner, a director of ArtiCAD said: “ArtiCAD Virtual Studio really does deliver the ultimate reality. For any KBB company using this new product, their customers will be simply blown away by what they’ll be able to see – they will literally be walking around their
potential new room design as if it had already been installed. As a sales tool, this is brilliant.” ArtiCAD Virtual Studio is a simple, turn-key solution which transforms 3D CAD designs instantaneously into virtual reality format enabling users to take advantage of Vizuality’s Wireless Head Mounted Device (WHMD) which, used within Vizuality’s VT Motion Studio, allows the participant to move, unencumbered, around their proposed kitchen, bedroom or bathroom space.
