Daval MD featured in prestigious 42 under 42 list
Simon Bodsworth is selected as one of Yorkshire's finest on Insider Magazine's annual list.
Insider Magazine’s 42 under 42 list features business people from various backgrounds and a wide range of industries, the members of this elite club are the rising stars of the future and ones to watch out for. All entrants on the list are under 42 years of age and involved in businesses in the Yorkshire region, either owner-managers or working high up in large organisations. It is their skills and aspirations which have made them stand out and be named in the 2016 countdown.
Daval’s Managing Director, Simon Bodsworth, has been named as one of this year’s 42 under 42, and now features on the 2016 edition of this prestigious list. Simon has been recognised as one of Yorkshire's finest for his involvement in the development and innovation happening at Huddersfield based, Daval Furniture. In 2007, Daval developed Option-i, a production technology which allows Daval to produce made-to-measure furniture at a mid-market price point and keeps the business lean.
Simon commented on his inclusion on the list; “I am very proud to be recognised as a rising star in the Yorkshire Business circuit. My dad, who founded Daval furniture, has the ability to see the bigger big picture, never give up and stay true to himself, these are traits I have followed and practice on a daily basis within my role.”
Daval Furniture is going from strength to strength, the firm reported 15% growth in 2015 compared to the previous year and is set launch its new kitchen and bedroom collection in April which features seven new innovative and industry leading product ranges. To celebrate featuring on the list, Simon has been invited to attend the Yorkshire 42 under 42 dinner at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds in April.
Beko kicks off official partner of play campaign

British Ceramic Tile expands popular Ted Baker ArTile range
British Ceramic Tile’s latest addition to the ArTile collection showcases one of Ted’s signature prints – flight of the orient. Transporting homeowners into a far-flung paradise, the newest splashbacks are heavily influenced by the orient, with exotic birds and blossom trees being married with a soft palette of blues and pinks. Available with a grey or mint green background, the Flight of the Orient splashbacks extend the Ted Baker Residence collection and offers retailers two fresh new designs to appeal to their brand-conscious consumers. IDS supply decorative surfaces for major refurbishment
Drawing on its expertise in stockholding, project management and ‘just in time’ delivery, decorative surfaces specialist, IDS, has supplied SwissKrono and Finsa SuperPan products for the extensive refurbishment of bedrooms in the Sir Charles Groves student halls of residence at Manchester University. The next phase of the project has just begun and will see a further 500 units refurbished.
The project has seen wardrobes, wall shelves, desks and bedside tables bespoke-manufactured by furniture company, Scissorwood using products from SwissKrono and Finsa SuperPan.

Peter Sampson, Director of Scissorwood said: “This is part of a major refurbishment of the kitchens and bedrooms in student accommodation at the university. We chose to work with IDS, who supplied the Finsa and SwissKrono products, because of the better lead time, competitive pricing and efficient delivery service which helped ensure the project ran smoothly.” SwissKrono offers laminate flooring and decorative wood products for furniture, kitchens and interior design. Finsa SuperPan is an advanced panel substrate for furniture manufacturing that offers superior machining, finishing and cost saving benefits.
