Dream Doors launches new recruitment drive targeting kitchen industry
Dream Doors, the UK’s largest kitchen makeover franchise, has launched a major new recruitment drive targeting those already working in the kitchen industry. Dream Doors has traditionally recruited its
franchisees from a variety of different backgrounds, but as it targeting 80 showrooms by the end of the year, has chosen to focus on recruiting those with existing kitchen skills and expertise.
Dream Doors has more than 70 franchisees in showrooms all over the UK, and its model of replacing kitchen doors and work surfaces has proved enormously popular with consumers. The top performing franchisee turned over £1.2M in 2015, with the average turnover per franchisee more than £500,000.
All new franchisees will have their training at a new bespoke training centre at Dream Doors HQ in Hampshire, which replicates a Dream Doors showroom.
Dream Doors has a number of franchise opportunities for those already in the kitchen industry, in key areas all over the UK.

Bathroom and Kitchen Business Conference 2016 The Date, The Venue, The Theme
T
he date, the venue and the theme for this year’s Annual Bathroom and Kitchen Business Conference has been announced. Time to make a note in your diaries!
Tuesday 4 October 2016 is the main conference day, and as in previous years will include presentations and speeches, open forum sessions, the exhibition and, of course, the Gala Dinner and BMA Media Awards. The day before, Monday 3 October 2016, is reserved for the fringe activities which will include the Annual Charity Golf Tournament (raising much needed funds for The Childrens’ Burns Trust) Technical and Marketing Seminars, the BMA’s General Council meeting and the annual networking dinner which is a relaxed and informal affair, always enjoyed by the industry. This year, the conference moves to a new venue, the Belfry Hotel and Resort, Sutton Coldfield. It is easily accessible and large enough to accommodate the 200+ delegates and the various activities arranged by the conference organisers, the multi award winning Bathroom Manufacturers Association.
Towards the Circular Economy is the theme of the conference. As in previous years, delegates will be encouraged to look outside of their usual comfort zones and absorb new ideas. This year, conference will investigate how enterprises not usually associated with bathrooms and kitchens tackle the corporate, social and economic consequences of cradle to cradle manufacturing, marketing and selling, whilst meeting customers’ needs. An outstanding panel of seven speakers who are both knowledgeable and entertaining, is currently being lined up. They will present their view of the burgeoning Circular Economy.
Repair, recycling and re-use will be top of the agenda since the EU is pushing hard to make landfill a thing of the past. It may surprise some to learn that the EU has already set 2030 as the deadline beyond which no more than 10% of all waste can go into landfill. The use of secondary raw materials, and sustainable product design, manufacturing and marketing are all set to be affected by possible new regulations.
The UK bathroom and kitchen industry needs to be well ahead of pack if it is to survive and flourish.
