The 2016 KBB Exhibition was Sycamore Lighting’s 8th show in succession T
here was particular interest shown in the integrated LED products, such as the new LED back panels for use within glazed cabinets, and LED upstands, available in 6 lengths, which helps to create a streamlined look for any contemporary design. The collection also included a range of vertical LED strips, which attracted a lot of attention on the display kitchen. A new collection of pendant lighting also impressed visitors, with options including glass models with built in LED, and a particular favourite, the Concreto model made of solid concrete, which is ideal for creating an industrial feel to any design.
The colour tunable products, including the LED strip, and ceiling lights also proved to be very
popular. The LED strip was situated underneath the worktop, located within an extrusion with diffused cover, and was controlled via a Wi-Fi remote control system that shifted from warm to natural, to cool white LED. Therefore, clients can control and dim both the strip lighting and the ceiling lights at the same time if desired. The colour tunable products can create a different look within the same environment, purely by the touch of a couple of buttons on a remote control or using a tablet or phone via our app.
A new LED ceiling light was also unveiled at the show, which features switchable colour renditions, all from one fitting. From warm, to natural, and to cool white, by simply flicking a switch on the back of the fitting. This COB LED ceiling light is also
dimmable, fire rated, has an IP65 rating which makes it suitable for the bathroom, and furthermore, has three bezel options (Matt white, chrome and brushed chrome) included inside.
Sycamore Lighting also demonstrated their fully operational lighting control system controlled via the on-stand tablet. Visitors were able to use the technology themselves, thus demonstrating the versatility and simplicity of this system. The technical and design experts were also on the stand each day, to give visitors the chance to ask for a demonstration of the products on show, or to discuss any lighting design requirements they may have.
These factors, allied with the most diverse range of lighting on offer at the show resulted in Sycamore having their largest ever footfall at a KBB show and further indicates that Sycamore will remain at the forefront of lighting innovation within the KBB market sector in the foreseeable future.
