Kitchen Storage
A place for everything and everything in its place
S
torage solutions have advanced enormously in the last decade. Whilst storage has always been an important element of the kitchen design, with the trend to open-plan living it has become one of the top priorities.
Comment by Lisa Blumenstock Kesseböhmer Product Manager, PWS
It’s essential, especially in a living space, that storage is discreet and organized to keep the surfaces streamlined and clean. So whilst the aesthetics of the interior are important a greater emphasis is being placed on the approach to improving the living experience in the kitchen through a considered choice of successful storage solutions, balancing the form with the function. Pull-out larders, both full and mid- height options, are the workhorses of the modern kitchen, perfect for stashing away copious amounts of dry food, bottles, tins and jars and can be zoned in the main prep and cooking areas of the kitchen. Kitchen storage will continue to evolve with changing demographics being a major influence on what’s top of the
storage list. The impact of an ageing population is proving a driver for storage solutions that have an element of future proofing. Coupled with the trend for multi-generational living, there will be greater demands placed on storage, ensuring it is carefully curated with longevity and the lifestyle of the users firmly in mind.
