Japan Unix Doubles Speed with


Flash Soldering


Tokyo, Japan — Japan Unix, a solu- tions provider for manual and solder- ing automation, has made a speed upgrade to its flash soldering Unix FS Series. The innovative flash sol- dering laser system is two times faster than a typical laser and can in- tegrate pre- and post-soldering pro - ces ses such as surface mount and through-hole devices. In addition to increasing speed, the system can im- prove productivity.


The Unix FS Series focuses on


three main elements: speed, integra- tion, and compact size. Depending on various condi-


tions, 100 points can be soldered in less than 30 seconds, which signifi- cantly increases productivity. A reg- ular laser provides <0.5 sec/point while Japan Unix’s laser does the same in <0.25 sec/point. Providing integrated soldering


processes for both solder paste and wire, the FS Series has a coaxial camera that follows actual soldering work scenes.
