Trainworx announces all-new PS2-CD 4427 covered hopper
N — Pullman-Standard’s “high side” 4,427-cubic-foot covered hopper is coming to N scale from Trainworx. Featuring all-new tooling, this high- ly detailed model will replicate this popular prototype introduced in 1964. 7,500 cars. Trainworx plans six Santa Fe vari- ations from original 1966 (Ga-161) examples to repaints from the 1980s and early 1990s, plus an early-era BNSF repaint model. In addition to the Mineral Red group of Santa Fe of- ferings, Trainworx will deliver gray Frisco, Missouri Pacific, Rio Grande, and Rock Island 4427 covered hop-
pers. The ready-to-run model will have road-specific variations, includ- ing jacking pads on select models and three different trough hatch covers. Trainworx plans a 4th Quarter 2015 delivery for its new 4427 covered hopper, which retails for $26.95.
