What’s happening? End of support for Windows 2003 (WS2003) is
July 15, 2015. This is when Microsoft will no longer provide automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance. Without Microsoft support, customers will no longer receive security updates that protect their PCs from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can compromise business.
Why Act?
After this date, updates will no longer be available, and your business will become exposed to compliance and security risks.
By upgrading your environment today you can reduce IT costs, improve serve delivery, and avoid the challenges associated with maintaining a legacy platform. Microsoft and Cisco, two giants in the enterprise infrastructure and cloud space, have come together to provide customers with highly integrated solutions built around openness and choice of their hardware and software offerings.
What’s the solution? Anticipating wide-scale changes before the
impending deadline, Cisco and Microsoft have teamed up to provide the best solutions on the market.
These solutions comprise the following components…
• Cisco: A highly manageable computing and networking platform, Cisco Unified Computing System™ (Cisco UCS®
) and Cisco Nexus®
the optimal infrastructure for deploying and managing a Microsoft private or hybrid cloud.
• Microsoft: Windows Server 2012 R2 and System Center 2012 R2 offer unified management across your data centres, service provider data centres, and Windows Azure from one consistent platform.
• Fast Track: A Cisco Validated Design and Microsoft Fast Track certified solution that speeds your transition to the cloud.
Specifically these Fast Track solutions are built upon validated designs by both Cisco and Microsoft and consist of either FlexPod with Cisco and NetApp or VSPEX with Cisco and EMC.
